BioSo, my bio...I'm Sarah Rose, and I like my name a lot. Sarah is Hebrew for "Princess of God," and my friends can certainly tell you that I enjoy considering myself royalty (and acting on that) :-). Rose: roses are my favorite flower, whether because I am named for them or because they are beautiful I'm not so sure, but either way they stick with me.
So, what am I all about? Good fuckin question.
There's some things, very few actually, that I know and believe. I believe in Aristotle's theory of moderation. I consider myself an open minded person, I like trying new things and new experiences...in moderation :-). If I may not like an idea or concept, I acknowledge that as long as no one is getting hurt (against their will), it has a right to exist even if it's not a concept or idea that would work for me. Live and let live, everyone is different, different strokes for different folks. I believe in astrology, tarot cards, palmistry, divination, and the "powers of the Earth's gifts" (stones, crystals, plants, etc.). There's just something to be said about nature, mankind has never and will never be able to tame it, you know?
I haven't committed myself to any one religion; while I believe that systems of morals and beliefs are important for creating structure and boundaries in our lives, I haven't found one that mirrors the structures and boundaries I've already set up. I've learned about some of them in depth, and others I only know a little, but I've decided that if I was to ever commit myself to a belief system, it would have to be in its entirety. I would have to agree with everything it believed in and endorsed, and so far there isn't a single religion out there that can do that for me. The closest ones were Paganism and Wicca, but since reading the Charge of the Goddess, I decided not to adhere to them either. I now follow very very basic earth based spirituality practices, which I modify to my heart's content, and dedicate myself to a new patron goddess every Mabon.
I love eating out, seeing movies and shows, learning new languages and seeing new cultures. I love museums of art and natural history, since I'm an anthropology junkie, and I'm starting to get into architecture now too. I'm a sexual creature.
